FOY® Dentures are designed to provide even pressure across the gums and jawbone by creating a better fitting denture that rests partially on the muscles. They are placed to build the bite at a position that the muscles will best function; the same position that provides the greatest facial support and works to achieve stability and greater facial aesthetics.

Why Traditional Dentures Make You Look Older

The youthful face is in harmony. Skin, muscles, bones, and teeth all developed together in balance. Over time, though, your teeth wear down and are lost, which reduces the support for your soft tissue. Without support, the skin, muscles, and fat begin to hang down, which leads to:

  • Tissue folds and wrinkles around the mouth
  • Hanging skin under the chin (often called a turkey neck or turkey wattle)
  • Puffy neck or double chin
  • Jowls hanging down below the jaw
  • Sunken lips and cheeks

Traditional dentures replace your teeth at a standard height, usually much less than your natural teeth. They also don’t provide a replacement for the jawbone that dissolves after your teeth are lost. Worse, traditional dentures create pinch- and pressure-points that aren’t just painful, they can accelerate bone loss.

Traditional dentures have another problem: they’re unstable. To try to make them more stable, dentists put the teeth directly over the jaw bone. As the bone is lost, it shrinks inward, which means the teeth of your dentures also shrink inward. This gives you a sunken appearance.

Why Traditional Dentures Give You a Sunken-In Look

Traditional dentures are designed knowing they won’t fit well. They have to overcome this by putting the teeth in the most stable position possible, which means directly over the bone in your jaw. Once you lose your teeth, your body thinks this bone isn’t necessary and gradually removes it, starting from the outside. This means that traditional dentures put your teeth too far back, and each time you replace your dentures, your teeth move further and further inward.

FOY® Dentures work by doing what traditional dentures don’t: they replace the full height of your lost teeth. This restores the youthful proportions of your face. This automatically reduces the appearance of jowls, turkey neck, folds around the mouth, and other signs of aging. You’ll look much like you did when you were younger.

The improved fit of FOY® Dentures also means the teeth can be put in a more forward position. This reduces the sunken lips and cheeks that come from traditional dentures.

Thanks to the even pressure provided by FOY® Dentures’ great fit, you won’t lose jawbone as fast. You can look younger longer–and won’t need to replace your dentures as often.

How Do FOY® Dentures Compare to a Surgical Facelift?

If you’re concerned about aging, you’ve probably looked into getting a facelift from a plastic surgeon. This is a very different approach to trying to restore your youthful balance.

Plastic surgeons call a facelift a “rhytidectomy”–wrinkle extraction. But what they’re really cutting away is the skin, fat, and even muscle that made up the youthful harmony of your face. They’re trying to match your soft tissue to the reduced size of your teeth and jaws. Once they’ve cut away enough tissue, they stretch what’s left over your shrunken facial structure. While this can get rid of turkey neck, jowls, and wrinkles, it can also make you look much different.

With FOY® Dentures, the goal is not cutting away but restoration. We restore the youthful proportions of your face. This won’t eliminate every wrinkle—you get to keep the wisdom lines you’ve earned—but it will get rid of the worst things that make us self-conscious of our appearance.

Advantages Over
Traditional Dentures

There is no comparison to the benefits FOY® Dentures give their wearers. Although economy dentures may be tempting because of their cost-saving factors, the added benefit of having a denture that maintains and supports your face as well as allows you to eat whatever you want is much more appealing than one which leads to jawbone deterioration and an aged appearance.
